Certificate in Public Leadership
The Graham Center is now accepting applications for the fall of 2008. Applications are due in Pugh Hall April 18. An information session for interested students will be held on April 2 at 7:00 pm in Pugh Hall room 210.
The Certificate in Public Leadership is an interdisciplinary program for undergraduates interested in a wide range of careers in the public and private sectors. Through coursework and practical experience students gain many of the skills and understandings necessary for effective and ethical leadership careers. The certificate is intended to complement major programs offered across the university, including the natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, journalism, and business. Students pursuing the Certificate will also participate in workshops, seminars, and speaker series offered by the Graham Center.

Students are required to earn a grade of B or better in 18 hours of public affairs courses.

Eligibility
Students must have a minimum 3.25 UF GPA and have completed most of the university’s general education requirements prior to admission to the certificate program. Students will normally apply during their sophomore or junior year.

Applications must include:
- 2-3 page statement of purpose. Please tell us your reasons for applying to the program and how participation will help with your future career;
- two letters of recommendation, at least one of which must come from a UF faculty member; and
- a brief resume.
